Our company was established in 1983 as Ealing Travel Services. We became Harridge in 2013 to mark 30 years at the forefront of a competitive industry and to signify our ambitions for the future.

Our people are the core of our service. Our team are ingenious, creative, knowledgeable, and we’re very proud of them.

Darryll Beck Harridge

Managing Director

Darryll Beck Harridge has worked his way up from cleaner at Heathrow airport to Managing Director of his own successful travel company.

He got the travel bug at Heathrow’s Pan Am warehouse in 1974, watching Concorde take off just 100 yards away. Two years later, he became a courier for a travel company, excitedly collecting tickets from BA, AF, KL, SR, MH, SQ, and all the other major airlines.

But when he found himself waiting around a lot between pick-ups and drop-offs, he asked if he could help out answering the phone. A few months later, and Beck was taking bookings, appointed Reservations Clerk by his impressed manager. Two years later: Assistant Manager. 'You’re not bad at this game!' Beck recalls telling himself. 'Why not have a go at setting up your own company?'

Thirty years later, and he is still proud of Harridge, founded on the principles of integrity, service, expertise, and accountability, with trusting clients who actively recommend it to others.

Madhurie Harridge

Finance Director

Madhurie worked for NatWest in the City of London from 1970 until 1988, when she took a career break to raise her two children.

Her banking experience is a vital asset to Harridge Group, where she has spent an enjoyable 21 years.

She loves being with her children, cooking, going to the gym, running, eating out, going to the theatre, her Zumba class, and yoga.

Jameel Hussain

Head — Fare Quality Control

An early pioneer in discounted air travel, Jameel has over 35 years’ experience in business travel and has been with Harridge since 1996.

A true air fare expert, as Corporate Manager he is also responsible for quality control, making sure that clients are offered the best fares available while maintaining the highest level of service.

Jameel is known for his engaging personality, his cracking jokes – and his dancing! Infamous for taking several holidays (especially in Dubai and Spain) and building up thousands of air miles, he’s travelled round the world, and still does.

David J. Blackledge

Corporate Operations Manager

David has been working in the travel industry for nearly 30 years.

He recalls, as a schoolboy, going to work with his dad, an air traffic engineer at Manchester airport, watching the old flap display departures boards as the letters clattered around to make new words; so many places he’d never heard of. He’d head home, bury his head in an atlas, and from there his love of geography and travel grew.

He’s adamant now that if he’d kept a record of the many strange enquiries he'd received – every single email and phone call he deals with is different – it would be a best seller.

David lives in Isleworth, Middlesex with his partner of 10 years. He loves travelling (of course), walking, photography, food and wine, and fondly recalls being part of an 80,000-strong choir, cheering on a Team GB Paralympian gold medallist.

Charlotte Emmett

Senior Corporate Consultant

Charlotte took several travel courses at college, where she first became interested in the industry. She began selling holidays part time at Thomas Cook, while studying Galileo in preparation for a move to business travel.

Since starting with Harridge 9 years ago, she has worked her way up from Rail Consultant to Senior Corporate Consultant.

She loves her job because no two days are the same, because she enjoys working out complex itineraries and difficult fares, and challenging herself to get cheaper fares than the Internet!

A self-confessed chatterbox, she loves socialising in her spare time.

Jon Lia

Senior Corporate Consultant

Jon started his travel career as a messenger in the 70s for a West End company and has worked his way up the industry, arranging travel for government ministers and for many big music stars along the way.

A Senior Consultant at Harridge, his main responsibility is looking after the travel arrangements for big insurance companies in the City of London. He’s been with us for 18 years, blaming 'the great team' for the length of his stay.

Originally from Valencia, he speaks fluent Spanish and likes spending time with family both here and aboard, and watching FC Barcelona play.

Sarah

Senior Corporate Consultant

Having lived in Germany, Spain, Belgium and the UK, Sarah is truly international. She holds a degree in Translation and has had a great interest in other languages and cultures ever since she was young.

Since moving to London she's worked with Air France as well a number of travel agents, gaining valuable experience with GDS systems. At Harridge she applies these skills to provide our clients with an exceptional service.

In her free time Sarah loves to attend comedy events, watch repeats of the 2014 world cup final, and relax by practising yoga. She adores traveling and is determined to improve her culinary skills, although freely admits that eating out is much more fun!

Simon Clancy

Senior Corporate Consultant

Simon joined Harridge in January 2011, with no previous travel experience, but with a strong determination to find a job and career in something that really interested him.

He’s come far in a very short time. Trained at Harridge, he learnt quickly, and was soon entrusted with his own client portfolio.

When he’s not arranging corporate travel, Simon can often be found playing guitar in a rock band, in numerous sparsely filled North London venues, or daydreaming about when Arsenal used to win things.

Tom Deane

Senior Corporate Consultant

After studying economics at Surrey University, Tom went to Canada to train as a ski instructor. Taking another U-turn, he then chose to work in finance for 3 years before tiring of numbers and moving to France. Running luxury chalets and villas in the beautiful mountains of the Southern, French coast remains one of Tom’s favourite career breaks.

Finally admitting that he had done it all, Tom decided to return to the UK to continue his career in the travel industry, which he has dedicated himself to fully. Now one of our Senior Corporate Consultants, Tom can be trusted to maintain a cool head even when disaster strikes.

Days on the rugby pitch may now have been swapped for afternoons watching London Irish on TV with his son, but he is certain to pass on his passion for sports and travel when the time is right.

David Sollis

Corporate Consultant

David has honed his customer service skills since graduating from Northampton University with a Business Marketing degree in 2011. A combination of customer service and travel sales seemed the natural choice after an epic 2-year Australian adventure. His career highlight so far is arranging a client’s marriage proposal in Greece!

Winding down with music and cooking is a pastime he shares with his French partner. Reading about and discussing topics from politics to the complicated nature of the universe is something he will share with anyone who’ll listen! David is definitely our most philosophical corporate consultant. So whether you want to talk matters of the soul, or simply want advice on a particularly adventurous travel itinerary, David is bound to have plenty of suggestions.

Michaela Barry

Trainee Corporate Consultant

Our newest addition, Michaela is studying for a Business Admin Apprenticeship. She is confident and ambitious with the tasks of her role and her desire to progress. With the chance to combine booking flights with admin, Michaela snapped up the opportunity to work on our largest client account and is flourishing.

She has recently sailed the Mediterranean with her family and is lucky enough to have family members living in Australia who she visits often. Although she enjoys being adventurous and exploring, her most guilty pleasure is copious amounts of tea.

Claudia Hogan

Events Coordinator

With a keen eye for what makes an event special; Claudia manages a wide range of conferences, parties and product launches for our clients. Joining us in 2016 to expand the Harridge Events portfolio, she is a reliable and hard-working creative. Widely travelled and with an idyllic skill set gained through working in international events and the luxury hotel industry, she can spot a opportunity for fun in even the driest of event briefs. She prefers her free time to be spent as busy as possible, with as much champagne as possible; failing this she has her head in a book.

Zia Siddique

Accounts Manager

Zia is Accounts Manager for Harridge, supervising a group of three finance professionals while making sure the department runs smoothly.

With over 20 years’ experience in finance across a range of sectors, from insurance to logistics, the public sector to event management, Zia jumped at the chance to work for an established travel agent and beat off the competition to become the head of accounts.

Always keen to embrace change and teach himself new things, from new IT systems to procedures, Zia has assisted in the growth of many businesses over the course of his career, and prides himself on being able to find a solution for almost everything.

His long term goal is to continue to develop his team and assist in the future success of Harridge. He enjoys Sidney Sheldon novels and helping his two children with their homework.

Lisa Moriarty

Senior Accounts Assistant

A hard and helpful worker, Lisa has a GNVQ in Leisure and Tourism and has worked in the accounts department for nearly 17 years.

She loves listening to music (apart from classical), loves watching rugby (and supporting Ireland), enjoys the Six Nations Championship (especially when Ireland are playing), enjoys a good walk (especially if the weather is good), and reading (in her spare time).

Mumtaz Kharas

Senior Accounts Assistant

Mumtaz is AAT qualified and has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of finance. She joined Harridge in 2013 as a Senior Accountancy Assistant.

Mumtaz devotes her spare time to fundraising charity work for her local community and enjoys spending time with her large family. In her (limited!) spare time after that, she likes to read and walk.

Alieena Reel

Apprenticeship Accounts Clerk

Alieena started her apprenticeship with Harridge in 2014. She's studying diligently for her AAT accounting qualification with BPP University, and working untiringly with the Harridge accounts team – we don't know where she finds the energy!

Out of the office, music and dance are her passion, so you'll find her busting her moves on the dance floor. Once she's completed her studies Alieena is looking forward to travelling the world – starting with New York, of course.

Jonathan Harridge

Director

After law school, and a brief stint at a commercial law firm in Canary Wharf, Jonathan joined the family business in 2007. The move from commercial law to corporate travel was a welcome challenge, and he had to learn quickly and develop new skills.

He particularly enjoys getting to know his clients, each one unique, befriending the people, not assessing the numbers. Harridge Group excites and motivates him: to continually enhance his clients’ experience, to make a real difference, to offer a uniquely personal and first class service.

Jonathan loves leisure time, family time, golf time and cricket time! On top of that, he tries to complete one 26-mile marathon a year for the NSPCC, the discipline and humility of which he really values.

Zenna Harridge

Business Development Manager

With her vast background in the Arts, Zenna became very interested in travel after working for the world-wide BBC team. She entered the family business aiming to get involved with corporate travel and events.

She has been working in this industry since 2011, and before that for many years as a summer job. She loves travelling, organizing events, and meeting with her clients. She also enjoys a spot of dancing and keeping as fit as possible. She’s a cleaning fanatic, and likes to sit in the sun with a cool beer or a glass of fruity red wine.
